Apply bird-safe window decals or films
Break up reflections with external screens or netting
Install window guards, mesh, or lightweight netting a few inches outside the glass
Close blinds or curtains during peak bird activity
Move indoor plants away from the window
Place feeders either very close to the window or far away from it
Use exterior shutters, awnings, or shade screens
Clean windows to make added deterrents more visible
Use patterned tape or paint on the outside of the glass
Replace reflective glass with bird-safe glass or window treatments
Turn off indoor lights at night when birds are active
Keep birdbaths and feeders away from the window area
Add motion-activated deterrents near the window
Check for and remove mirror-like reflections from nearby surfaces
