How to Keep Score in Darts?

Start each player at 501 or 301 points

Subtract the score of each turn from the player’s total

Count only the points hit on the dartboard

Use the standard scoring areas:

Outer single ring = face value

Inner single area = face value

Double ring = 2 times the number

Triple ring = 3 times the number

Bullseye outer ring = 25 points

Bullseye inner circle = 50 points

Record each dart score after the throw

Add the three darts in a turn

Subtract the turn total from the player’s remaining score

Finish by reaching exactly zero

Ending on a double is required in standard games

If a player goes below zero, the turn is a bust

If a player reaches 1, the turn is a bust

If a player reaches zero without a double, the turn is a bust

In a bust, restore the score to what it was before the turn

Keep track of turns for each player separately

The first player to reach zero correctly wins
