Cast on the required number of stitches
Divide the stitches evenly across your circular needles or double-pointed needles
Make sure the stitches are not twisted
Join the round by bringing the first and last stitches together
Place a stitch marker at the beginning of the round
Hold the working yarn in your right hand
Knit the first stitch of the round
Continue knitting each stitch around the needle
Move the stitch marker when you reach it
Repeat each round as your pattern requires
Keep tension even throughout
Join new yarn when needed
Finish by binding off in the round as instructed by your pattern
