How To Lay Linoleum Flooring?

Measure the room and buy enough linoleum flooring, adhesive, and supplies

Remove baseboards, doors if needed, and all existing flooring

Clean the subfloor thoroughly and let it dry

Repair cracks, holes, and uneven areas in the subfloor

Sand high spots and vacuum all dust and debris

Acclimate the linoleum in the room according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Roll out the linoleum and let it relax flat

Cut the linoleum to fit the room, leaving a small excess at the edges

Dry-fit the linoleum and trim as needed

Apply the recommended adhesive to the subfloor

Lay the linoleum into the adhesive carefully

Smooth it from the center outward to remove air bubbles

Use a floor roller to press the linoleum firmly into place

Trim the edges neatly along walls and corners

Reinstall baseboards and transition strips

Avoid heavy traffic until the adhesive has fully cured
