How to Level a Concrete Floor?

Clean the floor thoroughly

Remove dust, grease, paint, and loose debris

Repair cracks and holes with a concrete patch compound

Grind down high spots with a concrete grinder

Check the floor level with a long straightedge or laser level

Mark low spots and uneven areas

Apply a concrete primer if required by the leveling product

Mix a self-leveling compound according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Pour the compound onto the floor

Spread it with a gauge rake or trowel

Use a spiked roller to remove air bubbles if needed

Let the compound flow and settle

Allow it to cure fully

Sand or grind any minor imperfections after curing

Install flooring only after the surface is dry and level
