Turn off the gas supply and wait 5 minutes
Locate the pilot light assembly
Set the control knob to Pilot
Press and hold the control knob
Use a long lighter or match to ignite the pilot
Keep holding the control knob for 30 to 60 seconds
Release the knob slowly
Turn the control knob to On
Check that the pilot stays lit
If it will not stay lit, turn it off and contact a qualified technician
