Open your Google Sheets spreadsheet
Enter your data in rows or columns
Select the data range you want to graph
Click Insert
Click Chart
Choose the chart type in the Chart editor
Customize the chart if needed
Click and drag the chart to move it
Resize the chart by dragging its corners
To use the graph in Google Docs, copy the chart from Sheets
Paste it into Google Docs
Choose whether to link the chart to the spreadsheet or paste it unlinked
