Gather rails, powered rails, redstone torches, minecarts, and building blocks
Choose the route for the railway
Clear and flatten the path
Place blocks for the track foundation
Lay regular rails along the path
Place powered rails at intervals for speed
Put redstone torches or other power sources next to powered rails
Add slopes with rails on stairs or blocks for elevation changes
Build stations or stops where needed
Place minecarts on the rails
Test the railway and adjust any broken sections
