Gather colored paper, scissors, and a pencil
Fold a strip of paper in half lengthwise
Draw half of a heart shape along the folded edge
Cut out the heart shape, keeping one side uncut at the fold
Unfold the paper to reveal one connected heart
Repeat with more folded strips of paper
Link each heart by cutting and folding so the sides connect
Continue until the chain is the desired length
Flatten and adjust the hearts as needed
