Gather at least 10 obsidian blocks
Get a flint and steel or another way to light the portal
Build a rectangular frame with obsidian
Make the frame 4 blocks wide and 5 blocks tall for the smallest portal
Leave the inside empty
Light the inside of the frame with flint and steel
Enter the glowing portal to travel to the Nether
