Open Google Docs and create a new document
Click Insert
Click Drawing
Click New
Use the shape, line, and text box tools to build the timeline
Add a horizontal line for the timeline
Add markers or shapes for each event
Insert text boxes next to each marker
Type the event dates and details
Click Save and Close
Adjust the timeline size and placement in the document
Format the text, shapes, and line as needed
