Fill a heatproof glass with 1 to 2 tablespoons of brandy or rum
Add a pinch of sugar
Add a pinch of ground nutmeg
Separate an egg
Beat the egg white until frothy
Beat the egg yolk with a little sugar until smooth
Fold the yolk mixture into the egg white
Spoon the batter into a mug or small bowl
Pour in hot milk
Stir gently
Top with more nutmeg
Serve immediately
