How To Make Brown Rice?

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear

Add 1 cup brown rice and 2 to 2 1/2 cups water to a pot

Add a pinch of salt if desired

Bring the water to a boil

Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot

Simmer for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the water is absorbed

Turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for 10 minutes

Fluff the rice with a fork

Serve warm
