Gather materials: durable fabric, matching thread, sewing machine or needle, scissors, ruler, chalk or fabric marker, funnel, and filler such as dried corn, resin pellets, or plastic pellets
Cut fabric into squares, typically 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches each
Cut two identical squares for each bag
Place the two fabric squares together with the right sides facing inward
Sew three sides and part of the fourth side, leaving a 2-inch opening for filling
Reinforce the seams by sewing a second line around the edges if desired
Turn the bag right side out
Fill the bag with 14 to 16 ounces of filler
Fold the raw edges of the opening inward
Sew the opening closed securely
Double-stitch the final seam for durability
Repeat the process to make a complete set of eight bags
Check each bag for even weight and secure seams
Store the bags in a dry place to prevent moisture damage
