How To Make Creme Fraiche?

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons buttermilk or plain cultured yogurt

Mix the cream and buttermilk or yogurt in a clean jar or bowl

Cover loosely with a lid or clean cloth

Let sit at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours

Stir once or twice if desired

Refrigerate until thickened

Use within 1 to 2 weeks
