Choose a fresh, flexible palm frond
Cut a straight section about 12 to 18 inches long
Fold the frond in half to find the center
Make a small slit at the center if needed
Bend one side of the frond downward to form the first arm of the cross
Bend the other side across the center to form the second arm
Wrap the loose end around the center to secure the shape
Tuck the end behind the cross to hold it in place
Trim any excess leaf ends with scissors or a knife
Press the folds firmly to keep the cross flat and neat
