How To Make Egg Nog?

Separate 4 eggs

Beat the yolks with 1/2 cup sugar until thick and pale

Stir in 2 cups milk, 1 cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form

Fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture

Chill for at least 1 hour

Serve cold with a sprinkle of nutmeg
