2 cups powdered sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt until smooth
Add more milk for a thinner icing
Add more powdered sugar for a thicker icing
Divide into bowls and add food coloring if desired
Spread or pipe onto cooled sugar cookies
Let icing set until firm
