Feed the infant as usual if they are due for a feeding
Burp the infant after feeding
Gently move the infant’s legs in a bicycle motion
Gently massage the infant’s tummy in a clockwise direction
Give the infant a warm bath
Hold the infant upright and gently rock them
Lay the infant on their back and gently press knees toward the tummy
Ensure the infant is getting enough breast milk or formula
Check with a pediatrician before using any rectal stimulation or suppositories
Seek medical care if the infant has a swollen belly, vomiting, fever, blood in stool, or severe discomfort
Seek medical care if the infant is very young and has not pooped for several days
