Set “Turn display off on power adapter when inactive” to Never

Click Battery
Turn off “Put hard disks to sleep when possible” if available
Turn off “Slightly dim the display on battery” if needed
Open System Settings
Click Displays
Increase display sleep time if needed
Open System Settings
Click Energy Saver if available
Disable any sleep-related options
Open Terminal
Type `caffeinate`
Press Return
Keep the Terminal window open while you want the Mac to stay awake
Open Activity Monitor
Check for apps or settings triggering sleep
Click Apple menu
Select System Settings
Click Privacy & Security
Check for profiles or management settings enforcing sleep
Open Terminal
Type `pmset -g`
Press Return
Review current sleep settings
Open Terminal
Type `sudo pmset -a sleep 0`
Press Return
Type your password
Press Return
Open Terminal
Type `sudo pmset -a displaysleep 0`
Press Return
Type your password
Press Return
Keep the Mac plugged into power if possible
Prevent the lid from closing if you want the Mac fully awake
Use an external display with clamshell mode if needed
