Mix gently until just combined
Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat
Add the meatballs to the skillet in a single layer
Brown the meatballs on all sides, turning carefully
Reduce the heat to low
Add sauce or a small amount of broth if desired
Cover the skillet and cook until the meatballs are cooked through
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F for poultry or 160°F for beef or pork
Remove from the skillet and serve
