Add chopped tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs
Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente
Drain the spaghetti
Toss the spaghetti with the sauce or serve the sauce on top
Top with grated cheese if desired
