Gather paper, cardstock, scissors, ruler, pencil, glue, and a needle or awl
Cut paper into small equal-sized pages
Fold the pages in half to form signatures
Stack the folded pages neatly
Cut a small piece of cardstock for the cover
Score the cover where it will fold
Place the page stack inside the cover
Sew or glue the pages into the spine
Press the book under a heavy object until dry
Trim the edges for a clean finish
Decorate the cover if desired
