Gather cardstock, colored paper, scissors, glue, markers, and decorations
Fold the cardstock in half to make the card base
Choose a theme or color scheme for the New Year card
Cut out shapes, letters, or decorative pieces from colored paper
Write a New Year message on the front or inside of the card
Add drawings, stickers, glitter, ribbons, or other decorations
Personalize the card with the recipient’s name
Check the card for neatness and make any final adjustments
Let glue or ink dry completely
Place the finished card in an envelope if needed
