Start with white paint or white pigment
Add a tiny amount of yellow ochre
Add a tiny amount of raw umber or brown
Mix thoroughly
Add more white to lighten if needed
Adjust with very small amounts until the shade looks off white
For a warmer off white, add a little yellow or beige
For a cooler off white, add a tiny amount of gray or blue
Test the color on a sample surface before using it fully
