Cut down trees and transport the logs to a mill
Remove bark from the logs
Chip the wood into small pieces
Cook the wood chips with chemicals or use mechanical pulping to separate fibers
Wash and screen the pulp to remove impurities
Bleach the pulp if white paper is needed
Mix the pulp with water to create a slurry
Spread the slurry onto a moving screen to form a thin sheet
Press the sheet to remove excess water
Dry the sheet with heated rollers or air
Smooth and finish the paper with calenders or coatings
Cut the paper into rolls or sheets
