2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 to 1 1/2 cups warm water
Food coloring, optional
Mix flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a bowl
Add vegetable oil and food coloring, if using
Slowly add warm water while stirring
Stir until a dough forms
Knead the dough until smooth
Add a little more flour if sticky
Add a little more water if too dry
Store in an airtight container when not in use
