Peel 4 medium potatoes
Grate the potatoes finely
Squeeze out as much liquid as possible
Grate 1 small onion
Mix potatoes, onion, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and black pepper
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the skillet
Flatten each portion into a pancake
Fry for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown
Drain on paper towels
Serve hot
