Collect rocks, shells, or other silica-rich materials
Crush them into very small particles
Grind the particles until they reach sand-like size
Sieve the material to separate fine grains from larger pieces
Repeat crushing and grinding until the desired texture is reached
Dry the material if it is wet
Store the finished sand in a clean container
