How To Make Scallops?

Pat scallops dry with paper towels

Remove the side muscle if present

Season lightly with salt and pepper

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

Add oil or butter to the skillet

Place scallops in the skillet without crowding

Sear for 1.5 to 2 minutes on the first side

Flip the scallops

Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on the second side

Remove when opaque and lightly golden

Serve immediately
