How To Make Sooji Halwa?

Heat 2 tablespoons ghee in a pan

Add 1 cup sooji and roast on low to medium heat until golden and aromatic

In another pan, heat 2 cups water or milk

Add 3/4 cup sugar to the hot liquid and stir until dissolved

Add cardamom powder to the liquid

Slowly pour the hot liquid into the roasted sooji while stirring continuously

Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan

Add 2 tablespoons ghee and mix well

Add chopped nuts and raisins if desired

Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes

Serve hot
