Brown 1 lb ground beef or turkey in a skillet
Drain excess fat
Add taco seasoning and water according to the packet
Simmer until thickened
Chop lettuce
Dice tomatoes
Shred cheese
Slice or dice avocado
Drain and rinse black beans or use as desired
Crush tortilla chips
Place lettuce in a large bowl
Top with seasoned meat
Add tomatoes, cheese, beans, avocado, and tortilla chips
Add salsa, sour cream, or dressing if desired
Toss gently or serve layered
