Lay the belt flat on a straight surface
Measure from the buckle fold or buckle start to the middle hole
Use a tape measure for flexibility and accuracy
If measuring an existing belt, measure from the buckle end to the hole you use most often
If measuring for a new belt, measure your waist or pants size and add 2 inches
For a belt without holes, measure the full length from end to end
Check the belt size marking if available
Compare the measured length with the brand’s sizing chart
Measure in the same units used by the belt manufacturer
Recheck the measurement before buying or cutting the belt
