Wear the type of socks you plan to use with the shoes
Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall
Keep your weight evenly distributed on both feet
Mark the tip of your longest toe on the paper
Measure the distance from the wall to the toe mark
Repeat for the other foot
Use the longer measurement to determine your shoe length
Compare the length measurement to a shoe size chart
Place your foot on the paper and trace around it
Keep the pencil upright while tracing
Mark the widest points of your foot on the tracing
Measure the width across the widest part of the foot
Repeat for the other foot
Use the wider measurement to determine your shoe width
Compare the width measurement to a shoe width chart
Measure your feet at the end of the day
Measure both feet separately
Use the larger foot for sizing
Recheck measurements if you are between sizes
Consider brand-specific size charts when available
