Select the cells you want to merge
Go to the Home tab
Click Merge & Center in the Alignment group
Choose Merge & Center, Merge Across, Merge Cells, or Unmerge Cells
Use the keyboard shortcut Alt + H + M + C for Merge & Center on Windows
Save the file after merging cells
