Open the FaceTime app
Start or join the FaceTime call
Tap the microphone button to mute your audio
Tap the microphone button again to unmute
If you want to silence incoming FaceTime call alerts, turn on Do Not Disturb or Focus mode
To mute FaceTime call sounds on Mac, lower the volume or use the mute key on the keyboard
To stop FaceTime ringing on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, turn on Silent Mode or Focus mode
