Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Notifications
Turn off the notification types you want to mute
For push notifications, toggle off All notifications or specific categories
For message notifications, open Chats and messages and mute them
For post or story notifications, open the account profile
Tap Following
Tap Notifications
Choose Off for posts, stories, reels, or live videos
For a specific chat, open the conversation
Tap the person’s name
Tap Mute messages or Mute call notifications
To mute from your phone settings, open device Settings
Tap Notifications
Select Instagram
Turn off Allow notifications
