Use a minus sign before the word: `search term -excludedword`
Put the exact phrase in quotes and exclude a word: `”exact phrase” -word`
Exclude multiple words by adding more minus signs: `term -word1 -word2`
Exclude a specific site if needed: `term -site:example.com`
Use parentheses to group terms: `(term1 OR term2) -word`
Search with Google Advanced Search and add excluded terms in the “none of these words” field
