Locate the seam around the key fob
Find the small release button or latch on the back
Remove the metal key blade if your fob has one
Use the key blade or a small flat tool to gently pry at the seam
Twist carefully until the fob separates into two halves
Open the fob slowly to avoid damaging the clips
Remove or replace the battery if needed
Snap the two halves back together firmly
Reinsert the metal key blade if removed
