How To Open A Stuck Jar?

Run the lid under hot water for 30 to 60 seconds

Tap the lid edge firmly with a spoon

Grip the lid with a rubber glove or rubber band

Use a jar opener tool

Strike the lid edge lightly with the back of a butter knife

Pry the lid edge up slightly with a spoon to release the seal

Turn the jar upside down and tap the bottom

Ask someone else to try opening it

Use a towel for extra grip

Place the lid under hot water again and retry

Open the jar with a strap wrench

Break the vacuum seal by lifting one side of the lid edge

Use pliers on the lid if it is metal

Avoid using excessive force to prevent breakage
