Remove the mechanical key by pressing the release button
Locate the seam or notch on the key fob
Insert a small flathead screwdriver or coin into the seam
Gently twist to separate the two halves
Pry open the fob carefully around the edges
Lift out the battery cover if needed
Replace the battery or internal parts
Snap the fob halves back together
Reinsert the mechanical key
