Locate the seam around the key fob
Find the small release tab or slot on the side or back
Press the release tab if present
Insert a flathead screwdriver or coin into the slot if needed
Gently twist to separate the two halves
Pry the fob open slowly to avoid damage
Remove the battery cover if you only need to access the battery
Replace the battery or internal parts as needed
Align the halves again and press them back together until they click
