How To Pan Fry Pork Chops?

Pat pork chops dry with paper towels

Season both sides with salt and pepper

Let chops sit at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes

Heat a skillet over medium to medium-high heat

Add a small amount of oil to coat the pan

Place pork chops in the hot skillet

Do not overcrowd the pan

Cook without moving until browned on one side

Flip and cook the other side until browned

Reduce heat if the outside is browning too fast

Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145°F

Add butter, garlic, or herbs near the end if desired

Remove chops from the pan

Let rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving
