Open the app or browser you want to clear
Go to History, Activity, or Privacy settings
Select Clear browsing data, Clear history, or Delete activity
Choose the time range or select All time
Check Browsing history, Download history, Cookies, Cache, and other data you want removed
Confirm the deletion
Turn off sync if you do not want history restored from other devices
Sign out of your account on shared devices
Delete synced activity from your account dashboard if applicable
Disable history saving in settings if you want to prevent future history from being stored
Clear history on all devices connected to the same account
Empty the trash or recently deleted folder if the app has one
Remove backups that may still contain the history
Use private or incognito mode for future sessions
