Wash feet daily with soap and water
Dry feet completely, especially between the toes
Change socks at least once daily, or more if sweaty
Wear moisture-wicking socks
Rotate shoes and let them dry fully between wears
Use antifungal powder or foot powder in shoes and on feet
Wear breathable shoes made of leather or mesh
Avoid wearing the same shoes every day
Replace old insoles or use odor-absorbing insoles
Use antibacterial soap if recommended by a doctor
Soak feet in diluted vinegar or black tea occasionally
Keep toenails trimmed and clean
Treat athlete’s foot or other fungal infections promptly
Use antiperspirant on feet if sweating is excessive
Avoid going barefoot in damp public areas
Disinfect shoes regularly
Wash socks, insoles, and foot towels after each use
See a doctor if odor persists despite good hygiene
