Remove seeds from a ripe lemon
Rinse seeds thoroughly to remove pulp
Soak seeds in water for 24 hours
Fill a small pot with moist, well-draining potting mix
Plant seeds about 1/2 inch deep
Cover lightly with soil
Water gently to keep soil moist, not soggy
Place the pot in a warm, bright location
Cover the pot with plastic wrap or a humidity dome
Remove cover briefly each day for air circulation
Keep soil consistently moist until germination
Wait for seedlings to emerge in 2 to 6 weeks
Remove weaker seedlings if multiple sprout in one spot
Transplant seedlings to larger pots as they grow
Gradually acclimate plants to stronger light and outdoor conditions
