How To Plant Trees?

Choose a suitable tree species for your climate and soil

Select a planting site with enough space for the mature tree

Check for underground utilities before digging

Plant during the recommended season

Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and as deep as the root ball

Remove the tree from its container or wrapping carefully

Loosen circling roots if needed

Place the tree in the hole with the root flare at ground level

Backfill the hole with the original soil

Firm the soil gently to remove air pockets

Water the tree thoroughly after planting

Add mulch around the base, keeping it away from the trunk

Stake the tree only if necessary

Water regularly during the first growing season

Protect the tree from pests, animals, and damage

Prune only dead, damaged, or crossing branches as needed
