Connect all controllers to the same console
Make sure each player has a signed-in account or guest profile
Start Minecraft on the console
Create a new world or open an existing world
Set the game to allow multiplayer or split-screen play
Turn on the second controller
Press the start or menu button on the second controller
Sign in the second player if prompted
Repeat for additional players if supported
Play on a screen size that supports split-screen mode
Use local multiplayer only on the same console
Keep all players in the same world to continue split-screen play
