Send an SMS from your BSNL number: PORT
Receive the UPC code by SMS
Visit the new telecom operator’s store or website
Submit the UPC code, Aadhaar/ID proof, and a passport-size photo if required
Fill out the Mobile Number Portability request form
Choose prepaid or postpaid plan with the new operator
Complete biometric verification if required
Wait for the porting request to be processed
Keep using your BSNL SIM until it stops working
Insert the new operator’s SIM after the porting is completed
Restart your phone and verify network activation
