How to Preload Chunks in Minecraft?

Use a chunk preloading mod or plugin

Install Chunky on Paper, Spigot, or Fabric/Forge if supported

Set the world center with the plugin command

Define the radius you want to preload

Start the preloading task

Let it finish generating all chunks in the area

Use worldborder commands to limit player movement if needed

Preload in a separate test world before using on a live server

Preload during low-traffic times

Increase server RAM and CPU allocation before large preloads

Lower view distance and simulation distance during generation

Use pregeneration commands from your server software if available

For single-player, use a chunk pregenerator mod

Keep backups before preloading large regions

Check server logs for generation errors

Stop the task if TPS drops too low and resume later
